The St. Louis Bar Foundation seeks to grant annual awards that meet the Foundation’s criteria for innovative projects that address identifiable unmet needs in the community! Applications must be submitted no later than 5:00 p.m. on April 1, 2024. The awardees will be notified by April 30, 2024. Funds will be disbursed by April 30, 2024.

Let’s look back at judges post-1975.

For the most part, he was a white male who became a judge as a crowning honor after a long career as a practicing lawyer.

You could visit with him in his chambers, often surrounded by other lawyers, discussing sports or vacations.

And yes, smoking was allowed in some quarters, cigarettes, and cigars!
