Starting June 18, Missouri’s judiciary will expand its “Auto Create Case” feature to eight more judicial circuits, providing faster access to newly filed civil cases. This automation allows the system to instantly accept petitions, assign case numbers, and make cases available to attorneys and the public—removing the need for manual processing. Piloted in St. Louis County in October, the feature has gradually rolled out to additional counties, with full statewide implementation expected by next month. While feedback has been positive, attorneys are urged to carefully review filings to avoid errors that could lead to dismissals.
