The Tornado Relief Donation Drive is accepting essential supplies to support those affected by recent storms. Requested items include toilet paper, bottled water, flashlights (with extra batteries), tarps, rain gear (ponchos, umbrellas), work gloves, and first aid kits. Additional needs include non-perishable food items, pre-mixed baby formula, diapers (toddler and infant), baby wipes, adult incontinence supplies, menstrual supplies, and dog and cat food. Donations will be accepted Tuesday, May 20 through Friday, May 23, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and on Saturday, May 24, from 9:00 a.m. to noon, with future dates to be announced. Items can be dropped off at SLU Law, Scott Hall, 100 North Tucker Boulevard, St. Louis, MO 63101. Help us help our neighbors—collected items will be delivered to community partners for distribution.

The 2025 Judge Kintz Memorial Bench & Bar Conference, hosted by the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis (BAMSL), will be held May 28–30 at Camden on the Lake Resort in Lake Ozark, Missouri. This year’s agenda includes impactful sessions such as an update from the Supreme Court of Missouri, a plenary on ethics and bias led by Keith and Dana Cutler, and a timely discussion on AI and malpractice, as well as engaging tracks on trial strategy, criminal law, and young lawyer development. The National Park Service (NPS) has added St. Louis’ Freedom Plaza to the more than 800 sites in 40 states that are part of the NPS National Underground Railroad Network to Freedom program. Freedom Plaza, which includes the Freedom Suits Memorial, honors the more than 300 men, women, and children-including Dred and Harriet Scott-who filed suits for their freedom in St. Louis in the decades prior to the Civil War.

The Saint Louis Bar Foundation, the charitable arm of the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis (BAMSL), has actively supported projects in pursuit of its mission.

This includes Motion for Kids (an annual holiday party each December for area children whose lives have been affected by the justice system) and the High School Mock Trial program as well as an annual Women in the Legal Profession Scholarship and our St. Louis Attorneys Against Hunger initiative that fights hunger and homelessness.
