Sophisticated mid-sized Clayton firm seeks a full-time legal assistant for the firm's Business & Real Estate department. The legal assistant will provide comprehensive administrative support to attorneys specializing in business law, real estate transactions, and corporate matters. Responsibilities include: document preparation and management (assist in preparing, reviewing, and editing legal documents such as contracts, purchase agreements, leases, corporate governance documents); file management; transactional coordination (coordinate document management and administrative support for real estate closings, mergers and acquisitions, and other business transactions): correspondence; calendar management; regulatory filings; billing and time entry; and general administrative support. Qualified candidates will have 3-5 + years of experience as a legal assistant in the areas of business, real estate, or corporate transactions. This experience should include a basic understanding of corporate governance, real estate law, and general business transactions. Familiarity with entity formation and dissolution processes is a plus. Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and legal software applications (e.g., Clio, NetDocuments, or similar) required. Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Legal Studies, or a related field preferred. Competitive salary range.
