By Hon. Susan Block

I am hooked on Ted Lasso.

True, I was late coming to the party, but with good reason. First, I thought this was a streamed series about soccer. While I appreciate that St. Louis is a big sports town, I am more likely to be found in a theater, movie or live, for my entertainment. Not that I don’t cheer for the home teams, but I was not ready to commit to 15 hours of soccer drama.

Can you feel it? The parting of the clouds… Balmy breezes replacing that bitter winter wind… Tulips and Bradford Pear trees blooming around your neighborhood… St. Louisans buzzing around downtown in Cardinal Red… Perhaps your colleagues have been mysteriously disappearing earlier and earlier on Fridays… Spring has sprung, and summer is right on its heels!

For me, Spring season means Swing season, and I cannot wait to hear those birdies chirping. Your BAMSL Golf Committee is excited to announce that our annual BAMSL Golf Tournament is returning to Greenbriar Hills Country Club on June 10, 2024!

The Supreme Court and My Hometown is an immersive, in-person civics program for high school students. During the Hometowns program, students learn about the Judicial Branch through a Supreme Court case that started locally--in this case Hazelwood v. Kuhlmeier. The structure of the program makes the Supreme Court and its history more accessible to students by breaking down each case and bringing in local judges, attorneys, law professors, and other experts to help guide the students during their study.
