Meet the Speakers
Diana Mallon-Nutt, Esq, MSW (they/them) — Mallon-Nutt Law

Diana Mallon-Nutt has been working with individuals facing complex legal challenges since 2011. As an advocate, case manager, and finally attorney, Diana has represented and supported the cases of adults and children facing family law and immigration challenges. Diana also had the opportunity to serve as a law clerk to the Honorable Steven Berk in the District of Columbia Superior Court, giving them a greater understanding of family and domestic violence court proceedings.
One of Diana's favorite parts of practicing law is connecting with clients and helping them to tell their own stories. Diana holds a Master's Degree in Social Work from Washington University's Brown School of Social Work and a Juris Doctor from Washington University School of Law, where they focused on stress and trauma responses and Gonzaga University's College of Arts and Sciences, where they studied Spanish and sociology. Diana Mallon-Nutt lives with their wife, two cats, and dog in Saint Louis.
In 2020, Diana opened her private practice, focused on collaborative law and meeting the needs of middle and low income individuals and families in Saint Louis by offering reduced fees and participating in local pro bono projects. Diana is a Missouri licensed attorney and is fully certified to appear before EOIR and USCIS.

Keith Rose (he/they) — Metro St. Louis Equal Housing & Opportunity Council

Keith Rose is a paralegal at the nonprofit Metropolitan St. Louis Equal Housing & Opportunity Council (EHOC), where he helps manage the Eviction Defense Program. In addition to his work at EHOC, Keith has worked as a paralegal at the Kovar Law Firm, LLC since January 2020, where he focuses on estate and probate matters for LGBTQ clients and name and gender marker change cases in Missouri and Illinois.
Recognizing the great obstacles faced by low/no-income queer & trans individuals who seek to change their legal name and/or gender marker, Keith co-founded St. Louis Name & Gender Marker Change Mutual Aid in 2021. This collective of non-attorneys seeks to share knowledge gained from firsthand experience to demystify the legal process and support pro se petitioners logistically, financially, and emotionally.
Keith became first interested in community legal work in the Fall of 2014 when he joined with friends to found the St. Louis Jail Support Collective, which provided free legal representation and bail assistance to thousands of St. Louisans arrested during the Ferguson Uprising and in the years since. Keith is Treasurer of the National Lawyers Guild - St. Louis Chapter, which administers the St. Louis Legal Fund to pay bonds for people arrested at protests, as well as a Coordinator of the National Lawyers Guild’s Legal Observer Program.
