The 8th Annual Judicial Retirement Dinner, hosted by the BAMSL Trial Section, honors retiring judges each year. Please join us on March 9 at The Chase Park Plaza to enjoy cocktails, dinner, and laughs.

The BAMSL Bar Center will be closed to in-person meetings and events during the month of February as BAMSL's staff prepares for the move into the Security Building, located at 319 North 4th Street. Chairpersons may work with their staff liaison to coordinate virtual meetings and events.

The U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Missouri, issued proposed local rules for public comment. Questions, comments, or proposed changes may be submitted through January 17, 2023. The proposed effective date for these changes is March 1, 2023.

The Missouri High School Mock Trial Competition needs volunteers to judge mock trials at the St. Louis County Courts Building on February 7 & 9 and March 7 & 9. Volunteers should arrive by 5:30 p.m. for a brief volunteer meeting. Trials begin at 6 p.m. No mock trial experience is necessary. Presiding Judges must be licensed attorneys. Jurors may be anyone with at least a bachelor's degree (law students, paralegals, legal assistants, etc. are welcome). Volunteers are eligible to attend a free one-hour CLE to be held via Zoom in April 2023, presented by Jeff McPherson. Please sign up for one or more evenings at the link below.
