Join us for this program that will explain why being mindful can help with your law practice, your family life, and the rest of your life. It will provide an explanation of mindfulness and a roadmap for how to become a mindful person.
Coke Hennessy — Certified Mindfulness Instructor
Coke Hennessy, a member of BAMSL, received a J.D. from St. Louis University School of Law and an L.L.M. in Taxation from Washington University School of Law. She practiced estate planning and tax law for 36 years, retiring from Lewis Rice. She was a former chair of BAMSL's Probate and Trust Section.
While practicing law, Coke discovered the practice of mindfulness and experienced a profound shift in how she practiced law which benefited both her and her clients. For this reason, she is looking forward to sharing thoughts about mindfulness practice and its possible impact professionally and personally on lawyers.
During the decade following her retirement, Coke has taught mindfulness to kids, starting at age 3 up to 8th grade. In addition, she teaches mindfulness to adults interested in establishing a mindfulness practice. She is certified by Mindful Schools as a mindfulness instructor and is also certified to teach mindfulness to adults by a two-year certification sponsored by U C Berkeley.
