Volunteers Needed for Virtual 2021 Missouri High School Mock Trial Competition The Missouri High School Mock Trial Competition, which will be virtual for 2021, needs volunteers to serve as judges and jurors in January, February and April 2021. No mock trial experience is necessary. A volunteer briefing will be conducted immediately prior to the trials, and a volunteer guide will be provided prior to the competition nights. This is an excellent opportunity to hone your trial advocacy and evidentiary skills from the other side of the bench. BAMSL Well-Being Committee: Emotional Well-Being CLEs in January, February The BAMSL Well-Being Committee during January and February is focused on emotional well-being and has two upcoming CLEs to promote emotional well-being. Join fellow BAMSL members for an end-of-the-week stress reliever from 4:30-5:15 p.m. on Thurs., Feb. 18. Tune in to watch St. Louis attorney Christian Misner transform into "Christian the Magician." Day of Service: Donate, Volunteer for Urban League Food Distribution on Monday BAMSL is partnering with the Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis in support of its Clean Sweep and Large-Scale Food, Toiletries and PPE Distribution event on Martin Luther King, Jr., Day - Mon., Jan. 18. The event is expected to serve 3,500 families in the St. Louis region. Volunteers are needed to help with the distribution on Mon., Jan. 18. Although the future of in-person events remains in constant uncertainty, BAMSL is still planning its regular events for the next few months.
