CLE: Recent Developments in Missouri Foreclosure and Evictions

The Real Property & Development Committee is hosting a CLE on Wednesday, June 10 from 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., in-person at the BAMSL Bar Center and on Zoom. As prior COVID-related restrictions and delays have expired and the economic conditions change, mortgage loan enforcement is trending upward. Two local experts will be presenting on the recent legal climate surrounding foreclosure and related remedies. Kathryn Davis will speak on eviction-related legal issues while Jenny West (SouthLaw) will present on foreclosure mechanics and adjacent issues.

A well-prepared trial notebook provides an organized outline and synopsis of your case that will assist you in preparing for trial, thinking through the issues beforehand, and executing your planned presentation of your case. This article will identify the essential elements of a trial notebook and discuss the content relating to those elements with suggestions for preparation.

Attorneys Against Hunger Committee Wrap 'n Pack to Benefit Operation Food Search

Join BAMSL's Attorneys Against Hunger Committee on Tuesday, June 16, from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at Operation Food Search for an event that involves packing food into large boxes that go to our community partners to be distributed to families in need at no cost. The tasks include vetting donated non-perishable food items for expiration dates and making sure they are safe to consume, marking bar codes, organizing food into boxes, making boxes and placing the boxes on pallets.

This helps feed 200,000 people a month! All volunteer groups include a tour of Operation Food Search's facility.
