BAMSL's LGBTQ+ Committee will be hosting a booth at Tower Grove Pride to provide information about legal name changes and completing The Missouri Bar's "Durable Power of Attorney for Health Care and Health Care Directive" form.

Attorney and notary volunteers will be needed. Shifts available during the following hours:

Saturday, September 23 - 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Sunday, September 24 - 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

For the last several years, members of the Missouri Supreme Court have participated in an annual update organized by the BAMSL Appellate Practice Committee, the Missouri Supreme Court Historical Society, and the Missouri Bar Appellate Practice Committee.

This year, the update is free to attend for members of those organizations as well as members of groups that have generously supported the Missouri High School Mock Trial Competition: the Springfield Metropolitan Bar Association; the Lawyers Association of Kansas City; the Mound City Bar Association; the Lawyers Association of St. Louis; and the St. Louis County Bar Association.

Presented by the BAMSL Patent, Trademark and Copyright Section and the Solo and Small Firm Section.

This CLE provides the basics of what a General Practitioner should know to avoid malpractice. This CLE takes place on Friday, June 16 from 8:30 AM - 11:30 AM CT with speakers Scott A. The Honorable Anne-Marie Clarke will receive the William L. Weiss Senior Lawyer Award during BAMSL’s annual Senior Lawyers’ Luncheon, scheduled at Noon on Wednesday, July 25 at the Missouri Athletic Club (MAC) in downtown St. Louis. 

Each year, lawyers over the age of 65 gather for the luncheon to honor one of their own who has shown outstanding leadership in the bar and the legal community.

The US District Court – Eastern Missouri Town Hall series comes to the offices of Husch Blackwell in Clayton this Thursday, May 25 at 4pm. There will be a brief session introduction from Judges on the District Court, followed by an open Town Hall session led by attorneys on the Court’s Federal Practice Committee. Judges will not attend this portion. There will be a social hour for Bar members and Judges immediately following the Town Hall session. Everyone is encouraged to attend.
