For the most part, estate planning for veterans is the same as it is for anyone else. Veterans come with issues that estate planners routinely see, but they may also be eligible for benefits that honor their service and ease the loss for their surviving family. However, veterans and their families are often unaware of these benefits or fail to think of them during their time of grief. Directing veterans and their families to these invaluable resources closes the loop in providing your clients the competent, all-encompassing service they deserve.

Generative AI can create new content such as text, images, videos, or audio, based on the patterns and structure of the data it learns from. However, if generative AI creates new and original content in the style of existing content, then who if anyone owns this kind of “original” work? Who, if anyone has their rights infringed?

The Women in Legal Profession (WILP) Section is partnering with Legal Services of Eastern Missouri and the Saint Louis University School of Law Entrepreneurship and Community Development Clinic on Thursday, October 26 from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM CT to host a free legal clinic for local small business owners and entrepreneurs.

Marijuana. Pot. Weed. Ganja. Regardless of what you call it, cannabis is now legal in Missouri after approximately 53 percent of Missourians voted in favor of legalizing recreational cannabis use among adults age 21 and older. And it seems to be a good thing on a lot of fronts, particularly for the state’s finances. Since 2019, when Missourians were first able to legally access cannabis for medical use, the state has raised approximately $100 million dollars in revenue from cannabis. This number is anticipated to increase significantly now that recreational use has been legalized...
