Currently, the Children’s Division is in a crisis state and does not possess the resources to manage these cases. Informing the Division that the family is handling concerning situations by entering programs to address the family’s needs goes a long way to their stepping back from removal of children and referrals to the court.

On February 29, 2024, from 12:00 PM - 1:30 PM CT we will discuss all of the trademark cases decided in the Supreme Court, 8th Circuit Court of Appeals and District Courts in the 8th Circuit. New developments and application of existing jurisprudence will be discussed.

BAMSL was incorporated on March 18, 1874, making 2024 our 150th Anniversary. Much time and planning is going into this sesquicentennial event, with videos of key players from those 150 years, a CLE series, and our Spirit of Justice Gala, which will be a black-tie event with music by Dirty Muggs. All of these events are planned to help celebrate our past 150 years. While we work to incorporate the celebration into everything we do for the year, it will also coincide with BAMSL Past President Bill Bay’s term as president of the ABA. He will only be the 8th St. Louisan to hold this prestigious position...

The Missouri Bar began offering the Fee Dispute Resolution in 1995. It is a free, voluntary, and confidential program that may be initiated by the client. This program on February 2, 2024, from 12:00 PM - 12:50 PM CT offers facilitation, mediation, and binding arbitration. In this session, the speaker will provide an overview of the FDR program, FDR Rule of the Committee’s jurisdiction parameters, volunteer options, comments from actual participants, and much more.
