Topic 148: Speakers Bureau Service
(revised 10/98)
The Bar
Association of Metropolitan St. Louis operates a Speakers
Bureau Service which provides attorneys, free of charge, for
speaking engagements at any community organization meeting.
This is a public service to acquaint individuals with the
laws and legal processes governing their personal lives and
work.
The law
-- federal, state, and local affects the lives of all citizens.
An attorney speaker is an excellent way to answer your group's
questions about various laws and the legal system itself.
It is through the law and the public's understanding about
the law that civilized society grows. A nation which does
not understand its law is in difficulty.
The attorney
speakers from the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis
Speakers Bureau can address your group on nearly any legal
topic. The Bureau will also attempt to fill any other requests
of special interest to your group. In most cases, supplementary
written materials will be provided as handouts.
Again,
this is a free public service of the Bar Association of Metropolitan
St. Louis through their Law-Related Education Center and funded
in part by the St. Louis Bar Foundation. For more details
and to schedule a speaker, call the Association office at
314-421-4134. |
