Effective April 8, 2014, Microsoft will end support for
these two products. If you are using them, you may want to consider upgrading to newer versions.
Microsoft will no longer issue security updates or bug fixes for either product, but no
"doomsday” scenario is predicted, according to Dan Barnett, BAMSL’s IT maven. However, every computer user, especially those who store other people's data, should keep their software up-to-date to help prevent data from being lost or destroyed by viruses, hackers, or software bugs.
