CONTINUING LEGAL EDUCATION
BAMSL sections, committees, and CLE Department in conjunction with the CLE Institute offer over 150 seminars per year in a variety of formats, one-hour to multiple-day, and produce a number of practice and procedural manuals to meet the professional education needs of BAMSL members. While attendance is open to non-members, BAMSL members always receive a discounted registration rate. A calendar of CLE seminars is published monthly in the St. Louis Lawyer and on this web site.

FEE DISPUTE ARBITRATION & MEDIATION SERVICE
Offered through the Committee on Resolution of Fee Disputes, this is a free service which relies on the volunteer efforts of both attorney and non-attorney panel members. LAWYER REFERRAL & INFORMATION SERVICE (LRIS)
Operated under the direction of the LRIS Committee, the LRIS refers more than 11,000 clients per year to panel attorneys. More than $9.4 million in legal fees have been generated by LRIS referred cases since the LRIS was reorganized in 1993. The annual panel application fee for BAMSL members is $100. For non-BAMSL members, the annual application fee is $395. All LRIS panel attorneys must agree to follow the LRIS Rules of Procedures and Operation. The BAMSL LRIS program is in compliance with Missouri Supreme Court Rule 4-10.1 of the Rules Governing the Missouri Bar and the Judiciary AND the ABA Model Rules for Lawyer Referral Services. We are proud to have served the St. Louis community for nearly 70 years and to be among the first Lawyer Referral Services which was ABA compliant. LAWYERS' CLUB
The Lawyers Club is currently closed for lunch while a new caterer/food service management agreement is being negotiated.  Most meetings and special events will be handled in the interim. BAMSL is among only a handful of bar associations to provide an exclusive Lawyers Club within its dues structure for use by its members. The Downtown club, located on the 30th Floor at 720 Olive Street, is open for lunch Monday through Friday and available by reservation to all members for private functions -- anything from business meetings to wedding receptions, 3-300 people. LEGAL PLACEMENT SERVICES
Attorney Placement
This service is available to all BAMSL members seeking positions or seeking to fill a position. Member-lawyers (or his/her firm, company, or agency) will be matched with pre-screened applicants for full-time, part-time and project or contract lawyer positions at substantial savings in time, effort and fees.  The service runs the ads/announcements, reviews resumes, and pre-screens applicants.  Only those meeting your specifications are referred.

Verification of applicant education, licensure, references, and employment history are included in the fee, though BAMSL makes no representation as to any applicant's legal ability or competency.  Optional background checks are available at an additional cost.

Support Staff Placement
This BAMSL service will match members or their firms, companies, or agencies with qualified, pre-screened and tested applicants to fill support staff positions including secretaries, receptionists, word processors, bookkeepers, legal administrators/office managers, and paralegals.
