Please join us for this annual event bringing together inland river operators, maritime attorneys (plaintiff and defense), general practitioners, claims adjusters, and insurance brokers from up and down the Mississippi River.
You will get updates on legal issues from some of the most knowledgeable experts in the region. This annual CLE includes breakfast, lunch, and networking reception. 


The networking reception, which is being held on the eve of the seminar, will be at Three-Sixty: Rooftop Bar St. Louis. Three-Sixty boasts breathtaking views of the Mississippi, and is located atop the Hilton St. Louis at the Ballpark.

Keith Lay - Director of Administration, AEP River Operations


Keith Lay is Director of Administration for AEP River Operations responsible for HR, Training, IT, and Claims.  He has also had leadership positions in operations and logistics since joining AEP through their acquisition of B&H Towing in 2008. From 2004 to 2008 Keith was the General Manager and President of B&H Towing, a family owned company with 130 employees that operated 8 line-haul vessels. 


For 15 years Keith worked for Caterpillar Inc. in various engineering and management positions, primarily related to machine control systems research and development.  He has a BS and an MS in Civil Engineering and a PhD in Robotics, all from Carnegie Mellon University.  Keith resides in Wildwood, MO with his wife Melissa.  They have 3 children, ages 23, 20, and 16.



Nelson Wolff - Partner, Schlichter Bogard & Denton LLP


Nelson is a partner of the firm. He represents railroad and maritime employees in personal injury and death cases under the FELA and Jones Act. Nelson has been serving on the Board of Governors of the Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys since 2004. He has been selected for inclusion in the 2014 edition of "Best Lawyers in America" in the specialty of Railroad Law has been selected as a Missouri and Kansas "Super Lawyer" by the publisher of Law & Politics in every year since 2005 and again this year in the field of Transportation Law which includes railroad and maritime injuries, and has been selected for membership into The National Trial Lawyers: Top 100 Trial Lawyers for the year 2014. He is also the only Missouri lawyer listed as a "Preferred Attorney" by the National Mariners Association. Nelson has also had numerous articles published in legal journals on personal injury subjects and has presented legal seminars to other attorneys. 

Roy Dripps - Partner, Armbruster Dripps Winterscheidt & Blotevogel LLC


Roy Dripps is a partner in Armbruster Dripps Winterscheidt & Blotevogel LLC, in Alton, Illinois.

He has tried many Jones Act cases, including disputed status and limited liability matters, and

successfully handled maritime cases in state and federal courts in Missouri, Illinois, Minnesota,

Nebraska, Iowa, Indiana, Kentucky, Tennessee, Arkansas, Mississippi, Pennsylvania, Texas,

and West Virginia. He successfully argued for the petitioner in Lewis v. Lewis & Clark Marine,

531 U.S. 438 (2001). He has published numerous articles in law journals including the

University of San Francisco Maritime Law Journal. He is a frequent CLE speaker.
