Hon. Kristine Kerr, Circuit Judge, St. Louis County Circuit Court Division 14
Judge Kerr was appointed Circuit Court Judge for Division 14, Family Court Docket 15 effective January 1, 2014.
She received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics from Brown University and received her Juris Doctorate from Boston University.
Judge Kerr clerked for the Honorable Kent Karohl, Missouri Court of Appeals, Eastern District, from 1986 to 1987. She engaged in private practice from 1987 through 1988 and joined the Missouri State Public Defender System in 1988. She worked as an Assistant Public Defender in St. Louis City and defended death penalty cases with the Capital Litigation Division. She became First Assistant Public Defender in St. Louis City in 1993 and Assistant Public Defender in St. Louis County in 2003. In 2004, she was appointed Family Court Commissioner. In 2008, she was unanimously reappointed by the Circuit Court en banc.
Judge Kerr is a member of the St. Louis County Bar Association, the Women Lawyer's Association, the Lawyer's Association, the National Association of Women Judges, the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis and the St. Louis Knitter's Guild. She was elected a Fellow in the Advanced Science and Technology Adjudication Resource Center (ASTAR), Washington, D.C., in 2009.She and her husband live in St. Louis County with their two children.
Hon. Margaret T. Donnelly, Family Court Commissioner, St. Louis County Circuit Court Division 65
Margaret Donnelly graduated from Saint Louis University School of Law (SLU Law) in 1988 and was a private-practice attorney for 20 years before starting a career in public service. She was appointed director of the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS) by Gov. Jay Nixon in January 2009. She left DHSS in December 2012 to join SLU Law's faculty as Health Law Practitioner-in-Residence. She was appointed Family Court Commissioner for Division 65 in December 2013.
