Yvette J. Liebesman  — Assistant Professor of Law, Saint Louis University School of Law


Professor Liebesman teaches Intellectual Property Law and Trusts & Estates, and is the faculty adviser for the school's IP Concentration. Prior to joining Saint Louis University, Professor Liebesman practiced in the intellectual property transactional group at Ropes & Gray LLP in Boston, MA. She is a 2006 graduate of Georgetown University Law Center. During law school, Professor Liebesman received the ABA/BNA Excellence in Intellectual Property Law Award, given to the student with the highest GPA in IP law, earned First Prize in the 2006 ASCAP Nathan Burkan Memorial Competition at Georgetown Law, and was the recipient of the 2006 Giles Sutherland Rich American Inn of Court Scholarship Award. Her research interests focus on Copyright and Trademark law, and their intersection with science and technology. Last year, she was the recipient of the International Trademark Association's Ladas award for writing excellence on the subject of trademarks and related matters, which is regarded as the the top national award in trademark scholarship. She is often interviewed and quoted in the press regarding current copyright and trademark issues, including by the ABA Journal and CBS News concerning Mike Tyson's tattoo and the Hangover Part II controversy.


Morris E. Turek — Attorney,


Morris Turek is a trademark and copyright attorney located in St. Louis, Missouri.  He helps entrepreneurs, businesses, organizations, and educational institutions avoid the high costs and devastating effects of being sued for intellectual property infringement.  Morris focuses his practice of law almost exclusively on trademark and copyright clearance, federal trademark and copyright registration, intellectual property litigation, and intellectual property licensing.  He is a 2005 graduate of Saint Louis University School of Law and is the owner and founder of  Morris has served as Chair of the BAMSL Patent, Trademark & Copyright Section, and he periodically teaches a continuing education course on trademark and copyright law at St. Louis Community College.

Jessica Mendez is an associate attorney in Armstrong Teasdale’s Intellectual Property Litigation group. She represents clients in disputes involving infringement of patents, copyrights, trademarks and trade secrets pending in state, federal and appellate courts throughout the United States.
