Alex Curcuru

Alex Curcuru provides advice on a wide-range of tax issues and handles disputes with the IRS and Missouri Department of Revenue for both individuals and businesses. Mr. Curcuru’s exposure to tax matters began long before his admission to the Bar. Over the past seven years, he has either prepared or quality reviewed hundreds of individual and partnership tax returns. This experience has proven invaluable in establishing a foundation for successful client advocacy and reputation for effective tax controversy representation. To date, Mr. Curcuru has successfully saved his clients hundreds of thousands of dollars in outstanding tax liabilities.  

Previously, Mr. Curcuru worked for H&R Block as a tax research specialist where he answered complex federal and state tax questions on topics that included eligibility for various tax credits and deductions, residency status, sources of income and the First-Time Homebuyer Credit

Nalini Mahadevan

Nalini R. Mahadevan joined The Lowenbaum Partnership, LLC in April 2012 to lead the

immigration and estate planning practice group. She was the founder of Mahadevan Law Office,

LLC and has been in practice since 2003. She specializes in immigration, and estate planning

with a special emphasis on serving the immigrant community. Nalini is a Adjunct Professor at St.

Louis University School of Law, Chair of the Immigration Committees of the Missouri Bar,

member of the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis, American Bar Association and the

American Immigration Law Association, Speaker for the Missouri Bar, St. Louis University

School of Law, St. Louis, and the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis, University of

Missouri, Kansas City. She advises SAWERAA, a nonprofit that protects South Asian immigrant

women who are victims of domestic violence. Nalini has an undergraduate degree in Accounting

and a Masters in Law from the University of Mumbai, India. She practiced as a corporate lawyer

in India for five years before relocating to the United States and earning her Masters in Business

Administration from Washington University. Nalini earned her JD from St. Louis University

School of Law. She is the author of “Law Practice Management, 101 with Forms’ and was

recently recognized by Missouri Bar for her contribution to the education of Missouri Lawyers.

Rebecca Grosser

Rebecca J. Grosser has extensive jury trial experience, handling matters ranging from misdemeanors to murder in the first degree. Rebecca represents individuals in municipal court, as well as in various courts around the State of Missouri in both civil and criminal cases. In addition, Rebecca is licensed to practice law in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri. 
Currently, Rebecca's focus is to ensure that her client's interests are protected, whether that be the rights of the accused in the criminal justice system, providing zealous representation to those who have suffered illegal harassment and discrimination in the workplace, or vigorously acting in the best interests of the child as a guardian ad litem. 
After almost 15 years as a public servant, Rebecca is now a sole practitioner at Grosser Law, LLC in Webster Groves, Missouri.

Hon. Barbara Wallace
judge Wallace has been a circuit judge since December 15, 1995. She became the first woman to serve as a presiding judge in the 21st Judicial Circuit in January 2001. Her judicial assignments since the last retention election have included civil court, family court and the equity jury trial division. She is on the statewide Circuit Court Budget Committee, which makes decisions on financial matters for all circuit courts. She is also on the Trial Judge Education Committee, which plans and presents all trial judge education in the state, and she has taught evidence at all the Judicial Colleges and New Judge Orientations for the last 10 years.

She received her undergraduate degree and law degree from Washington University in St. Louis. She is a member of The Missouri Bar, St. Louis County Bar Association, Women Lawyers Association (past president), Lawyers’ Association (past president), and an adjunct professor of trial advocacy at St. Louis University Law School.

David Cox
David Cox is a St. Louis Missouri attorney focusing on Immigration, Intellectual Property,

Criminal Defense, Business and Military Law. David has worked for, owned and managed

technology companies and he co-founded a boutique law firm and several non-profit

organizations. David has thirteen years of experience as an attorney for the federal government

with six years of litigation experience and five years of experience in intellectual property law,

government ethics, fiscal law, FOIA and transportation law. Mr. Cox began practicing

immigration law in 2001 and has represented businesses and individuals in a wide variety of

immigrant and non-immigrant visa matters. He has advised small business about matters ranging

from concept development to incorporation, from funding to dissolution. For six years Mr. Cox

litigated cases in the Air Force military justice system. He represented the government as a

prosecutor for two years and then spent four years exclusively defending Air Force members

accused of military offenses. He has experience in marketing, advertising and developing a

business web presence, including new media. David Cox worked as a software executive where he was

 responsible for developing web-based delivery of software services. Mr. Cox has an International

Relations under graduate degree from Brigham Young University and he received

his JD in 1993 from the University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law. He has been practicing

law since 1993 and is admitted to practice law before the bars of the states of Utah, Georgia and

Missouri, and the bars of the United States Supreme Court as well as the United States District

Courts for the Eastern District of Missouri and the Northern District of Georgia . He is also

admitted to practice before the Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces.

Mr. Cox is a member of the American Bar Association (where he serves on the Intellectual

Property Law Section Continuing Legal Education Board), the Bar Association of Metropolitan

Saint Louis (where he serves as the Secretary of the Solo and Small Firm Section), and the

Annette Heller
Annette P. Heller is an experienced trademark attorney with clients all over the United States.

She's been practicing since 1976 and worked for Ralston Purina as an in-house Trademark and

Copyright Counsel until 1983 when she started her practice limited to trademark law and

copyright law primarily representing individuals and small to medium size companies and law

firms that do not have Trademark Counsel within the firm.

She is among the top trademark attorneys in the United States in the number of applications filed

with the United States Trademark Office. She has been the recipient of the Trademark Insider

Award for top ranking in the nation for the number of new trademark applications received at the


Michael P. Downey
Michael Downey is a legal ethics lawyer and litigation partner at Armstrong Teasdale LLP. His practice focuses on advising lawyers and law firms on legal ethics, risk management, and other liability issues, and representing lawyers and clients in legal malpractice and lawyer discipline cases. Mr. Downey teaches legal ethics to law students at Washington University and St. Louis University and chairs the ABA Law Practice Division. In 2014, he was named a "Most Influential Lawyer” by Missouri Lawyers Media for his legal ethics and bar work. Mr. Downey also authored the book Introduction to Law Firm Practice and writes regular ethics columns for the St. Louis Lawyer, National Law Journal, and ABA’s Litigation magazine.
