Lawyer Referral & Information Service
The LRIS is sponsored by The Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis as a public service. The LRIS mission is to assist the public in obtaining legal services. In operation for more than 70 years, the LRIS serves as the gateway between the public and the legal profession. During the past year, the LRIS made more than 13,000 referrals to lawyers and other agencies and services. The LRIS is operated  in compliance with Missouri Supreme Court Rule 4-10.1 governing Lawyer Referral Services and is one of the few lawyer referral services nationwide that meets the standards of the American Bar Association.
The BAMSL LRIS serves the metropolitan St. Louis area which consists of the city of St. Louis, the counties of St. Louis, St. Charles, and Jefferson, and the Metro East Illinois area.
Call the Lawyer Referral and Information Service at 314/621-6681 between the hours of 9:30 AM and 4:00 PM Monday through Friday (a message may be left by pressing “1” during the hours of operation) or e-mail LRIS@bamsl.org.
